WHISH Money
We are thrilled to announce that as of 25 August 2023 you can settle your IELTS test fee and pay for a wide range of services through Whish Money transfer. The collaboration between the British Council and Whish Money will allow you to benefit from a hassle-free payment option designed for your convenience with more than 500 branches across Lebanon.
You can settle the fees through one of the below methods:
Pay by cash at any Whish Money branch:
Visit any Whish Money branch in Lebanon to settle the payment. The agents will fill in your test or service details, record your name and mobile number, and help you complete the transaction.

Pay online using the Whish app:
- Download the Whish app from IOS App Store or Google Play Store and follow these steps to pay using your Whish Money account.
- Open the Whish app and set the currency to USD.
- Scroll down to the “Education” section and select British Council.
- Choose the test or service that you wish to pay for from the drop-down menu and fill in the fields with your information:
- Reference number (applicable for IELTS & IELTS for UKVI registrations)
- First name
- Last name
- Mobile number
After completing the payment (online or offline), please send a copy of the receipt by email to general.enquiries@lb.britishcouncil.org or via WhatsApp on +961 (76) 120934.
A confirmation email will be sent within 24 working hours from payment completion.
Bank Payment
Visit any BLOM or ARAB Bank branch in Lebanon and process your payment for any of the following services. Make sure you share with the bank employee the correct code of reference, as per the table below.
